Comprehensive Examination

 

Regular eye health and vision examinations are an important part of preventive health care.  Many eye and vision problems have no obvious signs or symptoms. Early diagnosis and treatment can help prevent vision loss. 
 

Our comprehensive exams include:

• Evaluation of eye health with a biomicroscope, and retinal health evaluation with an Optomap® or dilated fundus exam;

• Glaucoma testing and standard plan-of-care;

• Evaluation of the retina for diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, and glaucoma;

• Eye focusing, eye teaming and eye movement testing;

• Evaluations of depth perception, color vision, eye muscle movements, peripheral vision, and pupil response to light;

• Determination of visual acuity (how clear is the vision);

• Refraction to determine lens power necessary for clear vision
